Meatballs in tomato sauce

INGREDIENTS FOR MEATBALLS(APPROX. 30):
• 750g minced meat (I used a mix of beef + pork);
• 50g parmesan;
• 30g breadcrumbs;
• 1 egg;
• 1 teaspoon salt;
• 1/2 teaspoon pepper;
• 1 teaspoon dried basil;
• 1 teaspoon smoked paprika;
• 1 teaspoon chili flakes;
• 1 teaspoon sweet paprika.
SAUCE INGREDIENTS:
• 500g diced tomatoes;
• 100ml red wine;
• 150ml water;
• 1 onion;
• 5 cloves of garlic;
• 15g butter;
• 1 tablespoon oil;
• 1 teaspoon sugar;
• salt and pepper to taste.
METHOD OF PREPARATION:
1. I put all the ingredients for the meatballs in a bowl and mixed well. I formed the meatballs and placed them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. I put the tray in the preheated oven at 200*C for 20 minutes.
2. I put the butter and oil in a pan over medium heat. When they were hot, I added the finely chopped onion and garlic. I sautéed for 5 minutes.
3. I added the tomatoes, wine, water and spices. I mixed and then put the meatballs. The meatballs should be covered with sauce.
4. I left everything on medium heat for about 25 minutes. I mixed 3-4 times during this time.
5. I served with mashed potatoes and they were delicious! 🤍
