Sauerkraut with sausages in the oven

I was really craving sauerkraut! I haven't had it in... I can't even remember. 😅
I just eyeballed everything, but for this recipe, exact quantities aren’t even necessary. 😁

INGREDIENTS:

• a medium sauerkraut;
• 4 sausages;
• 2 onions;
• 3 tablespoons of oil;
• a red bell pepper;
• 200ml tomato paste;
• 350ml water;
• 3 bay leaves;
• peppercorns.
METHOD OF PREPARATION:
1. I added the oil to the pan, and once it was hot, I tossed in the onion and sautéed it for about 4 minutes.
2. I added the diced pepper and sautéed for another two minutes.
3. Because my cabbage was quite sour, I cut it into strips and left it in water for half an hour. I squeezed the water well and put it in the pan.
4. I added the tomatoes, put the bay leaves and the pepper. I mixed and transferred everything to a heatproof dish. I put the sausages on top and put the pan in the preheated oven at 200*C for 40 minutes. Halfway through, I flipped the sausages to the other side.
I ate it with polenta and it was delicious!!
